| Description: | There has never been a better time to study geography. Now, more than ever, as we grapple with global issues around food, water and energy security, forced climate migration, conflicts and political instability, increasing population and anthropogenic climate change. Understanding the complex relationships between the Earth, its environment and inhabitants is vital to developing the answers to these challenges.
On this BA (Hons) Geography, you’ll investigate the reciprocal and ever-changing relationship between human society and the natural world. Learn about social, political, economic and environmental geography, in a global context whilst also exploring our regional geography that has a rich history of industrialisation, colonialism, language and identity. The physical and societal impacts of Eryri’s slate quarries, which ‘roofed the 19th Century world’ are clear to see, but you will also learn about regeneration and green economies. |
